Following are steps to create maintenance strategy

• Go to transaction IP11
• Click on the tab “New Entries” .
• Enter Name, Scheduling Indicator ( Time, Time - Key date, Time - Factory calendar), Strategy Unit, Call horizon.
• Double-Click on the Packages tab
• Click on the tab “New Entries”
• Enter details like Maintenance Package Number, Maintenance Cycle ( e.g. 7 Days), Maintenance Cycle Text ( e.g. weekly)
• Click on Save icon.

Now, you need to assign this Maintenance strategy to a task list. during assignment you can define which operation should be executed at which maintenance cycle.
